John Dumelo has landed a new appointment as a human rights ambassador with the NGO Youth for Human Rights Africa (YoHRA).
Dumelo would serve as youth ambassador for the organization, which is headed by famed Ghanaian human rights lawyer Francis-Xavier Sosu.
A statement released by YoHRA revealed the new appointment.
“The areas of his (Dumelo’s) work would include galvanizing support for the thematic areas of YoHRA: Human Rights Education & Promotion, Research, Publication, Training, Litigation and Advocacy.” the statement read.
“YoHRA finds the collaboration with Mr. John Dumelo, who is desirous of being a strong advocate for the promotion and preservation of fundamental rights through entertainment, to be very strategic,” it adds.
Dumelo responded to his appointment with a post on social media.
“I’m glad to be officially part of the advocacy group YoHRA (Youth For Human Rights Africa.) As an Ambassador extraordinaire, I will use my new position to champion the human rights of Africans across the continent and ensure fairness at all times. God bless Africa.” he wrote.
