Since when did suicide become re-fashionable? Within the past week alone we’ve reported over three stories of suicide in Ghana, all occurring due to different reasons.
Probably the lease excusable just happened, with a final year SHS student committing suicide over being dumped by his first year girlfriend.
According to KasapaFmonline, the deceased was a student of the Techiman SHS in the Brong Ahafo Region. He was dating a first year student in the school who has recently been threatening to end their relationship.
Apparently unable to handle being jilted, he threatened to commit suicide if she left him, but she did anyway. It was after that he reportedly took ingested some poison to end it all.

He was rushed to the Opoku Agyemang Hospital before he was referred to the Holy Family Hospital, but unfortunately was unable to make it.
