CEO of Engineers and Planners and the infamous brother of former President John Dramani Mahama, Ibrahim, has filed a case in Accra High Court suing United Television Ghana and Ernest Owusu Bempah for defamation.
In the suit, filed on March 22nd, 2018, Ibrahim Mahama is seeking Ghc 2m in damages and a cease and desist order for the defendants to stop making the defamatory statements.
Mahama’s ire is in relation to a statement made by Owusu Bempah, Communications Director of the Ghana Gas Company, on UTV, in which he accused Ibrahim of being a thief.
Ibrahim argues that the statement is defamatory and has caused injury to his reputation.
