Bill Cosby’s daughter Ensa has passed away at the age of 44, following her loss of a battle with renal disease.
Ensa passed away towards the end of last week, TMZ reports.
Following media reports of the death, the Cosby family confirmed the sad news via a statement signed by their publicist.
“The Cosby Family thanks many people for their prayers for their beloved and beautiful Ensa, who recently died from renal disease.” Andrew Wyatt confirmed.
Ensa was the fourth of her parents’ five children and was one of those who stood steadfastly by her father as the s*xual assault allegations mounted against him.
She becomes the second child lost by Bill and his wife Camille, after their only son Ennis, who died in a robbery gone wrong.
Renal disease, which ended Ensa’s life, is an illness which impairs proper functioning of the kidneys.
