Valentine's Day Is Supposed To Be For Love But It's Rather Causing Depression — AJ Sarpong

GhOne Tv Presenter AJ Sarpong has bemoaned the commercialization of the Vals Day holiday.
According to her, the holiday has lost its roots in love and is now rather causing depression among people who have bought into the hype.
Sarpong, contributing on the Celebrity Fanzone last weekend, was responding to claims by Counsellor George Lutterodt that churches in the country had adopted Valentine’s Day and was making it seem like a celebration.
In response, Sarpong said: “Frankly I disagree with counselor there. There is so much emphasis on s*x on Valentine day, so much and there are very impressionable youth all around us who are now attributing Valentine’s Day to that.

“And with the whole commercialization of Valentine’s day, buy flowers, buy teddy bear…there is a lot of depression on that day especially of you don’t have a loved one. So it is nice that the church also tries and promote that as well.
“I think the church should bridge the gap and promote something else other than s*x. If you don’t have that loved one, perhaps then it is a day to show love to the lord,” she added.
