Charterhouse Announces VGMA Schedule For 2018 And Reveal Ebony Is Still In Contention For Artiste Of The Year

Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) organizers Charterhouse have announced the schedule for this year’s awards.
At a sombre event, occurring on the same day dancehall star Ebony Reigns passed away, they announced the schedule for this year’s awards and categories to be competed in.
Addressing the event, CEO Theresa Ayoade also revealed that Ebony, even in death, would still be eligible for the awards and if chosen, would go into the records as having won them.
“We all know she has worked very hard the whole of last year and this is a very bad news to hit the industry – work must still proceed and her work is in the year in contention and her team have submitted everything in that regard therefore the public can vote for her when nominations are opened,” she said.
She urged the public to vote for their favourites, including Ebony, when the nominations and voting are open to the public.

The 2018 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards comes off on the 14th of April at the International Conference Centre in Accra.
