The official launch of the 2018 Ghana Premier League was supposed to come off Monday, February 5, however, it never happened.
This was due to an injunction placed on the new season by Accra Great Olympics.
Olympics were relegated from the top flight last season but are contesting their relegation.
They have therefore filed a court case against the Ghana Football Association (GFA), from which they have acquired a temporary injunction.
The GFA were thus forced to call off the planned launch of the season and have in response indefinitely postponed the season, pending the resolution of the court case.
This is not the first time the Ghana Premier League has been hit with stoppages due to legal issues, although it had become a thing of the past in recent years, until now.
