Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia is medically fit and set to land in Ghana from London after a short sick leave.
According to a statement from the Presidency, Dr Bawumia and his wife, Samira Bawumia will be met on arrival by President Akufo Addo and his wife Rebecca Akufo Addo.
Dr Bawumia’s arrival time was not stated in the statement but would be in the country by the close of Thursday, February 1.
Dr Bawumia left the shores of Ghana to London after he fell sick for an advanced medical attention on the advice of his doctors.
Details about his medical condition have not been disclosed even though the Minority in Parliament has demanded a briefing on his health status.

Many were of the view that his sickness could have been a serious one hence Government’s refusal to disclose it to the people that matter.
In the wake and heat of his health brouhaha, photos and videos of himself and wife having a great time in London flooded the internet.
Eugene Arhin, Director of Communications at the presidency in a statement on the Vice President’s arrival said:

The Vice President of the Republic, Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia will return to Ghana from the United Kingdom on Thursday 1st February 2018. This is after he took a 12-day medical leave on the advice of his doctors,” the statement said.
