Highlife legend George Darko, a subchief at Akropong in the Eastern Region together with Asonahene Kwasi Omenako have been arrested by the Police and Officers of the National security at the Chief’s Palace at Akropong.
The reason for their arrest is still not known to the public but it is confirmed that they are currently at the Eastern regional Police command at Koforidua according to StarrFMonline.com.

The highlife legend, Mr Darko was picked up at dawn when he was deeply asleep at the said Palace.

Currently, there is a chieftaincy dispute on the Akropong stool which has resulted in division among the youth groups in the vicinity breeding clashes between the various factions claiming the stool.
