The Assemblyman arrested in the Central Region for defecating on a beach has been fined Ghc 450 by the The Komenda Edina Eguafo-Abrem (KEEA) Municipal Assembly.
Samuel Cleran, Assemblyman of Sirbir Aweine Electoral area, was arrested by a task force easing himself at a beach in his own area.
He was arrested with four others and according to reports, they aren’t being arraigned for court but being fined by the municipal assembly.
The assembly by-laws put the fine for open defecation at Ghc 450 and they have all reportedly paid the fine.

Environmental Health Officers in the area were performing routine checks at the beach when they discovered the Assemblyman easing himself.
