Christianity is now big business all across the globe and those accruing the benefits are the self proclaimed men of God, the pastors who claim they are the only ones with the way to the almighty.
From Jesus Christ, who was a simple man with little to no possessions and preached against the rich and powerful, a religion has somehow sprung up where those at the top are rich to the core and the people at the bottom keep suffering yet keep going back to enrich those already massively well to do.
Matthew 19:24 — “Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”
It’s the greatest irony in the history of man.
Forbes Magazine’s list of the richest pastors in the world shows exactly that. All these pastors are multi millionaires who preside over congregations filled with poor and desperate people who keep bringing the pastors their money in hopes of getting out of their horrible current state.
Verily verily, I say onto you, Jesus would never have approved of pastors owning multiple homes, cars, bling and even for some of them, private jets whilst even one person in their congregation could starve.
Matthew 19:21 — Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
But that’s the world we live in now, because religion and reason have never been great bedfellows.
