Former President John Dramani Mahama has hit out at ‘racist’ US President Donald Trump after the latter described African countries as ‘sh*tholes’.
In a tweet responding to the comments, Mahama said Trump has demonstrated his racism and his agenda, which is to ‘Make America White Again’.
The U.S President reportedly passed the comments during a meeting in the Oval Office with lawmakers from both his Republican Party and Democrats.
The statement has drawn condemnation worldwide and Mahama did not pull any punches when reacting to it.

“Africans and Haitians come from ‘shithole’ countries? Isn’t Trump demonstrating that he’s nothing but a racist and pursuing a policy of ‘Make America White Again’? I congratulate Botswana for showing the way. Our AU Presidents must respond strongly to this insult,” he wrote.
Another person condemning the comments is German-Ghanaian actor Boris Kodjoe, who responded to Trump that he’s half Ghanaian and there is nothing sh*thole about that.
