Ghanaian actor Prince David Osei has ‘hit the nail’ on its head by saying that women who sponsor their weddings rob their husbands of their dignity. He is of the view that there is no way women should be adviced or allowed to fully take responsibilities for their wedding expenses.
Prince David Osei shared this view on the issue of whether it was right for women to propose to men with writer Aphua Larbi-Mensah and Yasmin Wuruche on Joy FM’s super morning show hosted by Kojo Yankson.
Prince told Kojo Yankson that, “the thing about marriage is people don’t want to be committed for their entire lives. So it’s a very difficult situation. Most often, men tend to be laid back, you know they love you, they’ve been with you, but just to say the words ‘I want to marry you. Will you marry me?’ is a bit tough.”
But Prince David Osei on the issue of women sponsoring wedding said, “there’s a lot wrong with that”.
