Egyptian forward Mohammed Salah has been named the African Player of the Year for 2017, beating back competition from defending champion Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Liverpool teammate Sadio Mane.
Salah was given the award at the just ended Glo-Caf awards held in Accra.
Salah led Egypt to their first world cup qualification since 1990 and also took the Premier League by storm after signing for Liverpool in the summer.
His win comes on the heels of the BBC African Player of the Award, which he won last month.
At the awards night, President Nana Akufo-Addo was given the CAF Platinum award.
