“Animals cry differently when they are caught up in traps and when they are freed, they cry differently”. This is the case of President Akufo Addo’s Aide, Clara Tia Sulemana who mocked jobless Ghanaians on social media, the very people who put her in that position.
Clara’s post was just a joke but Ghanaians are of the opinion that she ridiculed jobless youths in her expensive joke. Most Ghanaians have jumped onto the bandwagon to ‘roast’ her on social media.
Miss Clara Tia Sulemana, joining the trending social media joke, “This nonsense should stop in 2017”, took to her Facebook page and posted, “Those of you who usually meet me at events and immediately want to submit your CV for employment, this nonsense should end in 2017”.
Her post which was meant to be a joke offended a section of Ghanaians on social media and as usual of Ghanaians criticised her for being insensitive to the plight of jobless youths.

Some were of the view that she is swollen-headed all because she is near the walls of power and that has eaten deep into her mind to post such unnecessary comments.
Miss Clara after realizing her mistake, pulled down the post to console the people hurt by her original post. She then apologized in a new post;

“With the benefit of hindsight, my post wouldn’t have read same. I didn’t intend to cause any disaffection. It was purely for humor but i must admit that it’s a joke gone bad. As a young person myself, I’m passionate about youth development and spend a lot of my time with young people. It therefore cannot be, that i will be insensitive to my peers I saw the cliche ‘This nonsense must stop in 2017’, where a lot of jokes have been cracked. This is where my gaffe emanated from. I didnt create a post to berate anyone. For what it is not intended to, i erred. I’m sorry”.
