Ghana’s rap doctor has been awarded with a lifetime achievement award for all his contributions to the development of music in Ghana over the years.
Okyeame Kwame received the ‘Ayekoo Award’ at the 2017 edition of the Central Region Music Awards.
OK as he’s affectionately known has been an ever present figure on the Ghanaian music scene for close to two decades, since breaking out with Quophi as part of Akyeame.
He has managed to keep himself relevant through the changing of eras and aside his career, is known for embarking on a lot of social intervention programs.
At the awards ceremony, Kwame was presented with a citation and an artists impression of himself beautifully framed for him to hang up.
