Government To Introduce Prepaid Water Meters In 2018, Whether You Cry Or Not, It Will Be Introduced!

The NPP government as part of plans to curb the illegal use and non-payment of water bills will introduce prepaid water meters in 2018. This was disclosed by the Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources, Joseph Kofi Adah.
Honorable Joseph Kofi Adah speaking to Joy FM mid-day news disclosed that 80,000 prepaid water meters ready to be installed in Accra, Kumasi as well as Volta Region and other regions.

It could be recalled that there was a public outcry when the introduction of prepaid water meters surfaced in the Mahama administration which made it impossible for its implementation to see the light of day.

Majority of the Ghanaians were of the opinion that its introduction won’t help the poor and jobless citizens.
According to Honourable Joseph Kofi Adah, the installation of the prepaid water meters would monitor and ensure the proper use of water as well as fair distribution of water in the country.
