The Vodafone Ghana Music Award is fast approaching and as usual, every artiste is trying to put himself/herself out there for a nomination of whichever category they think suits their hard work under the year review. For instance, Fancy Gadam and Ebony have stated categorically that they deserve the 2018 artiste of the year accolade.
Now dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy has taken a different turn indirectly projecting himself for the 2018 artiste of the year award by saying that he was ‘robbed’ of the 2016 and 2017 artiste of the year award of which rapper E.L and gospel musician Joe Mettle won respectively.
According to the BET award winner, he worked so hard in those years to have been crowned with the artiste of the year accolade but unfortunately was ‘robbed’ of those awards.
Kuami Eugene has also indicated his willingness to grab the topmost award in case he is been given or nominated. The debate as to who carries away with the topmost award on the night is still being discussed by fans as well as entertainment pundits across the country.

Stonebwoy speaking in an interview with JoyNews’ Doreen Avio stated that his trips outside the country at the time of the awards possibly worked against him.
He added that winning ‘Artiste of the Year’ in 2015 and going all the way to win a BET award is a record which is yet to be broken.
