US State Election To Be Decided By Coin Toss After The Two Candidates Obtained The Same Number Of Votes

In some amazing news out of the United States of America, a race to decide who becomes the next member of the Virginia House of Delegates (the state legislature) would be decided by a coin toss or the drawing of lots.
This has become necessary after the two candidates, Republican David Yancey and Democrat Shelby Simonds, obtained the same number of votes — 11, 608.
This has led to officials revealing that the winner would be decided by a coin toss.
“State law says that in the case of a tie, the winner is chosen “by lot,” meaning Republican control of Virginia’s House of Delegates will essentially come down to a coin toss.” Quartz reports.
The toss would be held sometime over the next few weeks.
