BBC African footballer of the year Mohammed Salah leads a lineup of three heavyweight stars battling it out for the 2017 African Footballer of the Year award.
Liverpool winger Salah picked up the BBC award last week, and is the strong favourite to follow that up with victory in the upcoming CAF organized scheme.
Popularly known as Mo Salah, the Egyptian star would be duking it out with Borussia Dortmund and Gabonese forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and teammate Sadio Mane of Senegal.
The Confederation of African Football organized event is slated for Accra on the 4th of January, 2018. Algerian and Leicester City winger Riyadh Mahrez currently holds the award as the best African footballer.
