Fancy Gadam has detailed his journey in his musical career and it comes out that the young man started singing when Medikal was around 16 years.
The Northern Star turned a National sensation revealed his musical career started about 8 years ago in the Northern Region when he shunned schooling against his Parent’s wish because sitting in the classroom was a tough time for him.
Speaking to George Quaye on The Pundits, Fancy mentioned that he then pursued his dancing talent which made him popular but someone advised him to add singing as a complement to make a solid career which he did and it has brought him this far.
“The thing be say e no be say I just wake up and people dey follow me, NO!!! way back way back, I started music about 8 years ago” he said.
Fancy continued that he released his 1st Album in 2010 and after two shows at a 2000 capacity facility in Tamale, the place was parked which later nearly caused stampede when the event closed and his fans warned him to get a bigger venue else they won’t come to his shows again. He narrated that such pressure from the fans forced him to start using the Tamale Sports Stadium for his subsequent concerts.
BUT WHAT IGNITED FANCY’S THOUGHTS TO DO MORE TO BECOME A DEMIGOD IN THE NORTH?
The “Total Cheat” crooner explained that during the birth of his music career, there weren’t superstars like the kinds of Daddy Lumba from the North, so always Southern-based acts are brought to headline shows and they were listed among the “and many more artistes” which he didn’t like because, after concert, nobody remembers them exactly.
