Ghanaian Boxer, Ayitey Powers apart from being known as always beaten by Bukom Banku in the ring is also known for his relationship with wealthy Nigerian televangelist T.B Joshua.
According to the Boxer, his life was an unbelievable total mess until T.B Joshua’s spiritual guidance came to lift him from the gutters.
Powers revealed that despite breaking through from being a fisherman to a DJ who turned an international Boxer, his life mysteriously reduced to a beggar.
Narrating the story to Andrew Tandoh on the Tonight Show, Ayitey said he was working in the UK with all the necessary documents and one day he just woke up and a spirit drove to him to Ghana.

The boxer said, he left his salary of about £7000 in his account and for the first time booked a flight by himself to Ghana with just £70 on him which after another process at Heathrow Airport he was left with £20 which he brought to Ghana.
He continued he reached Ghana but never realized his location has changed from the UK to Accra without his intention until he tasted a meal and the realities dawn on him.
After 3 days I was looking for money to buy air-ticket to return but I didn’t get it. I became so broke that I beg people for money before I eat. He told the Host.

He lamented that he lived in abject poverty for five years in Ghana and no Prophet in the country was able to rescue him from his woes. He further hinted that even the Pastors were rather extorting him.
“Do you know the number of churches I go in Ghana? … If they are wake up they said that I say TB Joshua TB Joshua … Ghana here only a few Pastors are perfect but majority 80 are fake“.
Speaking about how T.B Joshua came into his life, he revealed he had the same dream twice that he should visit the Synagogue Church Of All Nations in Nigeria and some few days after the dream he got GHC200 which he used to transport himself to Nigeria though that wasn’t enough.

Mr Powers further added that he met two men who were actually Angels that assisted him to reach the church, paid his hotel bills, fed him, gave him transport back to Ghana but after that he never heard from them again as their numbers he had never gone through.
Then sometime after his arrival in Ghana, a boxing promoter he didn’t know called him for a fight in Australia and the benefit of that fight resuscitated his livelihood and career.
