Ghanaians Are Overwhelmingly Against Gay Rights, Akufo-Addo Should Apologize For His Stance — Felix Kwakye-Ofosu

Former Deputy Minister of Communications under the erstwhile Mahama government, Felix Kwakye-Ofosu, has called for the President to apologize to Ghanaians over comments he made over the potential legalization of homos*xuality in Ghana.
Nana Akufo-Addo told Al Jazeera that its possible for the practice to be legalized in Ghana one day if there is sufficient public pressure.
His comments have sparked a massive furore in Ghana as people come out staunchly against the act.
And speaking on the issue, Kwakye-Ofosu says the President should apologize to Ghanaians for even daring to make such comments.
“Leaders are expected to represent the people, especially when you travel outside but he did not speak well in that instance”. “He did not cover himself” Kwakye-Ofosu said.
“He did not defend the position of Ghanaians and what we need is an apology and not defend his position.
“Overwhelming [number of] Ghanaians have stated their position against it therefore the president is bound by the people of Ghana to defend them but he did not defend the position on the matter”. he added.
