If hiplife legend Obrafour had followed his childhood dream, Ghana would have been deprived of the greatest rapper that we’ve ever seen.
Thank God that didn’t happen.
Obrafour was interviewed on Adom Fm’s ‘Work and Happinness’ Tuesday and revealed that when he was a child he wanted to be like his grandfather, who was a lawyer.
“I never thought I will be a musician,” Obrafour told Ohemaa Woyeje. “I wanted to be like my grandfather, he was lawyer Okyere Darko. I respect Lawyers…”
Asked whether he regrets not becoming a lawyer, Obrafour said he’s actually pleased he didn’t go that route.
“I have changed my mind now. With all due respect, I respect the profession of being a lawyer but sometimes they might know the truth but they still have to say otherwise.” he said.
The ‘Pae Mu Ka’ hitmaker added: “But it is good God gave me the talent. It was not an old lady who taught me the proverbs I know. It is pure talent. I don’t think anyone can be Obrafour. . I wanted to rap without being profane. I wanted to do music to inspire, educate and entertain…”
What’s the lesson here? Never follow your childhood dreams. Lol.
