Sarkodie has come out to somewhat set the record straight about what happened at the One Africa Music Festival, denying reports that his team was attacked.
According to Obidi, he decided to cancel his performance for other reasons and not due to an attack on any member of his entourage.
Sarkodie’s surprising decision not to perform at the Festival after flying all the way to Dubai raised a lot of eyebrows, and reports about what happened were rife.
One account said a member of his team was assaulted in the chaos which ended the night, but Sarkodie has denied any assault took place.
“No one was attacked please this had nothing to do with me and my team … we were no where close to that” Sarkodie replied to a story about the attack.
Sarkodie’s reason for stopping the performance was reported as disrespect by Nigerian artists, and he somewhat confirmed that when he replied to Shatta Wale telling him he has been used.
