The lovely Miss Yvonne Nelson has been trending the past few days following her decision to debut the baby bump of the baby she vehemently denied being pregnant with.
Turns out the entire thing was an elaborate publicity stunt which was blown up by GhanaCelebrities.Com acquiring the exclusive information that she was pregnant, thus spoiling her plans to reveal the news on her own terms – on her birthday with a WOW magazine exclusive.
Yvonne Nelson is certainly within her rights to try and sell her pregnancy and keeping up the ruse by claiming she’s never pregnant, and GhanaCelebrities.Com is also well within our rights as a gossip blog to break the news when we get it and push back against attempts to discredit our reporting.
Discarding the question of a how righteous it is for ‘Christian’ to go to such lengths to conceal a truth by sending out people to lie for her, one other thing Yvonne Nelson’s case clearly proves is that the Christian God either does not hate sin as much as his followers claim or the Bible is a clear lie.
Yvonne Nelson, who has clearly fornicated according to the Christian Bible, claims that she prayed hard to God and he granted her request for a baby. However, if God clearly hates sin as we are told, he would never grant a request which has to be fulfilled through sinning – a sin punishable by death in the Old Testament.
“Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,” the bible says in 1 Cortinthians 6:9.
Paul clearly writes here that these sins shall keep a person out of the kingdom of God; fornication, adultery and homos*xuality. Ignoring the question for now of why Ghanaian Christians hate gays but are now hailing a similar sinner like Ms Nelson, let’s concentrate on why God would grant Yvonne Nelson a wish whose fulfilment depends on sinning.
And in case you think fornication is not a serious sin like homos*xuality, it absolutely is. Deuteronomy 22 tells us that any woman who is found not to be a virgin on her wedding night is to be stoned to death (coincidentally the same punishment for being gay) – for whoring herself out whilst still in her father’s house.
So the Christian God cannot claim to hate sin and at the same time grant Yvonne Nelson’s wish. When David sinned by taking someone’s wife, God punished him by killing the newborn baby – so he clearly has no appetite for wrong behaviour.
Either that, or the entire bible is a fiction put together by ancient writers simply reflecting the primitive thinking of the time which was then used as a political tool by a savvy Roman emperor to capture hearts and minds. Both cannot be true.
Of course, you can never expect consistency from religion, so one completely understands why Christians can hold these contradictory thoughts in their head.
God hates sinning, yet somehow answered Ms Nelson’s prayers through sin. Only religion can make you hold these thoughts as logically consistent.
