Self acclaimed ‘dancehall king’ Shatta Wale says he hates it when the media uses the ‘self acclaimed’ term, as if to insinuate that he’s not really the dancehall king.
According to Shatta, that title has now been officialized because the President called him the dancehall king and therefore the ‘self acclaimed’ portion has to be taken out of his name.
Wale visited the President at the flagstaff house Wednesday and the caption to the post about it on the President’s official page read: “The ‘Dancehall King’, Shatta Wale, was at the Presidency this afternoon to pay me a visit, after I extended an invitation to him, on his birthday….”
Speaking on Adom Fm after his visit, Wale said the caption showed that his title has been endorsed by the President and therefore not ‘self acclaimed’ anymore.
“The President has confirmed that the Dancehall King is me. You have to respect the law. If you don’t call me you will be arrested…,” he said.
Aside being a very loud mouthed musician, it seems Shatta does not understand how quotation marks work.
