On October 29, 2003, one of the most gifted artists to ever come out of Ghana passed away after an unfortunate car accident.
Terrence Nii Okang Mensah Adjetey, aka Terry Bonchaka, died after his car hit a tree on the Legon-Madina road whilst returning from a stirring performance at the University of Ghana.
Bonchaka was only 21.
His death brought about numerous speculations and 14 years down the line, his mother says she believes someone actually killed her son.
Speaking on Hitz Fm, she said seeing the dead body of her son confirmed her suspicions his death was not natural.
“When they brought him from the mortuary and he was lying down in the house and I went in there to look at him vividly and I saw that on the front neck as if something had been done to him. It’s only Jehovah who knows the truth,” she said.
According to her, his autopsy results showed her son died of suffocation.
“…He couldn’t breathe, that was how it came about. What [happened] that he couldn’t breathe, only God knows. It was the hand of someone, someone did it to my son,” she said.
“I’ve been crying all along because I miss him. He is a son and a friend, you know how it is [when] you’ve lost a friend, you know how it feels.” the distraught mother added.
