RTP Awards Is A Joke For Rewarding 'Verbally Abusive' Afia Schwarzenegger — Diamond Appiah

The annual RTP awards night came off over the weekend and one of the main talking points from the night was Afia Schwarzenegger going home with an award for the ‘Female Entertainment Talk Show’ host of the year.
It would be an understatement to say Afia has had a tumultuous year under review therefore it was more than a little strange to see her winning the award.
Many Ghanaians on social media have expressed shock at the result and Afia’s nemesis, Diamond Appiah, is no exception. Writing in no uncertain terms, Diamond heaped scorn on the award organizers and described the show as a ‘family and friends’ award scheme.
She wrote:
“RTP AWARDS aka Family and Friends awards aka buy One get Two free on the night awards. You do all. It is only a joke of an institution that will award a verbally abusive unprofessional who worked for only 3 months on and off in the year under review n ignore the hardworking, dedicated n eloquent female presenters that have worked so hard with good ratings throughout the year. Next year kindly remind me to buy some awards for my dogs at home Bcos they are more entertaining than some Jokers u awarded.”
