Burkina Faso international goalkeeper Soulama Abdoulaye has died after battling an illness, reports from his homeland indicate.
Soulama died in his home country late Friday, Burkina 24 reported. He had been in hospital since the start of the year with an ailment.
Abdoulaye, despite being Burkinabe, spent a significant portion of his career playing in Ghana for the two major clubs. He had a very successful spell with Kumasi Asante Kotoko at a time they won four league titles, before later moving to Accra Hearts of Oak.
He was 37. May he rest in peace.
