Two Togolese nationals who claimed to be spiritualists who can double any amount of money have been arraigned before court in Ghana after they duped two people and made away with their money.
Moses Kodjovi Worglo and Kudjo Adzahorsu introduced themselves to Wisdom Agbetorwu and Godsway Agbanu and promised them that if they give them any amount of money, they could double it.
Agbertowu parted with Ghc 8,000 to be doubled whilst his friend Agbanu also parted with Ghc 1,100.
However, after the spiritualists had collected the money to perform rituals, they didn’t deliver, leading the complaints to report the case to the police.
The two were picked up and arraigned before the Dodowa Magistrate Court and charged with conspiracy to commit crime, possession of fake currency and defrauding by false pretence.
They were granted bail in the sum of Ghc 50,000 each with two sureties, but could not meet the bail conditions and thus remanded in police custody.
