Ghana Could Have Earned Up To $38m By Participating In The 2018 Fifa World Cup


The winner of the 2018 Fifa World Cup would pocket as much as $38m from the world football governing body.
Germany, who won the 2014 World Cup, went home with $35m, but the figure has been adjusted slightly upward for next year.
Figures for participating in the global mundial has all been revised upwards. Qualifying would earn a country $8m, making it the minimum sum any of the 32 competing nations would go home with.
Teams who make the second round would earn $12m, whilst the quarter finals would pocket a team $16m. Third place would get a team $24m, whilst fourth would earn you $22m.
Runners-up would earn $28m, whilst the winner would pocket $38m as already mentioned.
The Black Stars of Ghana have miserably failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup, meaning they miss out of both the maximum windfall of $38m and the minimum windfall of $8m.
