Tragedy was narrowly averted in East Legon late Wednesday as a tree fell down on two cars during rains in the area.
The rains have remained far longer than usual this year and in late October, we still have powerful rains bearing down on us.
Late Wednesday parts of the capital was hit with rain, some parts more heavily than others. In East Legon, a tree was uprooted during the rains, and fell on two cars in its vicinity at the time.
Luckily no one was hurt.
The incident occurred at the intersection opposite the East Legon KFC. The tree fell on a trotro car as well as a private saloon vehicle.
Both cars were heavily damaged, but the drivers of both vehicles and all passengers from the trotro got away unharmed.
