Official Toll Of Atomic Explosion — 7 Dead And 132 Injured


7 people have been confirmed dead and another 132 injured in Saturday night’s deadly explosion at Atomic Junction.
An official statement released by government Sunday gave out the official numbers, with victims spread out either at the 37 Military Hospital or at the Police Hospital.
Of the surviving number, 64 have been treated of their injuries and discharged, whilst a further 68 are still receiving care. Of that number, two are in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at 37.
Ghana was shocked late Saturday when a gas station situated at Atomic Junction exploded, sending a raging fireball into the sky. The heat thrown up by the fireball could be felt for miles, as people run for their lives trying to escape the blast zone.
It didn’t take long for our tragedy to make international headlines.
