Playboy Magazine Founder — Hugh Hefner Dies Aged 91

Hugh Hefner

Founder of playboy magazine and notorious casanova, Hugh Hefner, has passed away.
The 91 year old died of natural causes in his infamous Los Angeles home, the Playboy Mansion.
A statement from Hefner’s  son and Playboy’s Chief Creative Officer, Cooper Hefner, confirmed the sad news.
“My father lived an exceptional and impactful life as a media and cultural pioneer and a leading voice behind some of the most significant social and cultural movements of our time in advocating free speech, civil rights and s*xual freedom.” the statement read.
“He defined a lifestyle and ethos that lie at the heart of the Playboy brand, one of the most recognizable and enduring in history.”
Hefner, born in 1926, built the now massive Playboy brand from scratch, launching the first edition in 1953 with n*de photos of Marilyn Monroe. Throughout its run, Playboy was always way ahead of its time, in portraying s*xual content during times in history when it was taboo.
May he rest in peace.
