It’s not a secret that the Ghanaian movie industry has collapsed and been admitted to the hospital where some key players are trying to resuscitate it for the past year.
Whilst some believe “slaying” is distracting the resuscitating process making it seem the industry is not sick but very healthy and paying for expensive gowns on the red carpets, Kwaku Manu has another perspective.

According to the Kumawood Actor, it is sheer hatred, backbiting and unhealthy competition that has mercilessly beaten the Ghanaian movie to collapse.

Speaking on Kingdom Radio, Mr Manu said there are countless times some actors refused to star in a film because there’s someone in the cast they don’t like and others are even selective of which producers or marketers they work with whilst some marketers sabotage some movies out of beef with some actors and producers. In summary, he says there’s no unity in the industry and that’s why it can’t stand on its feet.
If Agyaa Koo and Lil Win and other several rival actresses can’t star in a movie that will be great and Yvonne Nelson can’t collaborate with GhOne Tv to screen her movies instead of foreign content, then Kwaku Manu is damn right.
