Rapper Kwame Asare Obeng has denied multiple reports that he accused the two deputy chiefs of staff at the Presidency of taking money to facilitate meetings with the President.
Speaking on the issue on Okay Fm, A Plus said he accused the duo of corruption which many have misinterpreted to specifically mean they taking money in envelopes.
The rapper’s accusations against the duo in a Facebook post went viral and even triggered a police investigation. But whilst A Plus accused them of corruption, he made clear that he did not mean taking money for favours.
“Sometimes, people don’t get your explanation when you talk about corruption. Corruption does not only mean that the person has taken bribe and so people might think that two persons I have mentioned have taken bribes; no, they have not taken any bribe anywhere,” he said.
He categorically added: “I can say on this radio station that none of them [Jinapor and Asenso-Boakye] have taken any money anywhere,”
A Plus is currently at the centre of an investigation into those allegations and he’s expected to appear before the Police CID to answer questions on them.
