Musician/Comedian A Plus has been invited by the Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police Service to be grilled on recent allegations of corruption lobbied at officials working at the seat of government.
According to the Communications Director at the Presidency, Eugene Arhin, the invite is part of the President’s promise to investigate every allegation of corruption thrown against his government.
A Plus alleged recently that the two deputies to the Chief of Staff at the Presidency, Francis Asenso-Boakye and Abu Jinapor, are practising corruption at the Presidency by requesting for monies before arranging meetings with the President.
Those allegations were later backed up by Kennedy Agyepong, who said the rot far extends beyond those two.
Speaking on Starr Fm early Wednesday, Arhin said the CID has extended an invitation to the rapper – born Kwame Asare Obeng – to appear before them and answer questions on the allegation.
He also revealed a similar invite would be sent out to the Assin Cenral MP in coming days.
