The National Coordinator of the ‘One District, One Factory’ secratariat, Mrs. Gifty Ohene-Konadu, has hit back at some NDC officials criticizing the program.
According to Mrs Ohene-Konadu, many NDC MP’s have been rushing to the secretariat to submit their proposals for a factory to be situated within their constituency yet other NDC MP’s would be running the program down.
Her comments follow critique from former Deputy Minister Murtala Muhammed, who said the recent launch of a pineapple factory in Ekumfi as part of ‘One Distric, One Factory’ was a theft of an old NDC idea.
But the coordinator rubbished those claims and said if the program was a fraud why would so many NDC MP’s be willing to participate?
“They should ask the Minority MPs, I don’t want to mention names but when they come to the office with their proposals I receive them with open arms. We are even considering the viability of their project to assist them accordingly” she said on Adom Fm Wednesday.
