Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah has named a 24 man squad to begin preparations for the upcoming crucial World Cup qualifying double header against Congo.
Ghana hosts the ‘Red and Blacks’ at the start of next month, then travels to Brazzaville to face them 4 days later in a must win sequence of games.
Ghana trails group leaders Egypt by five points with only four games to go and can ill afford to drop any points between now and the end of qualifying in November.
Appiah has named a strong squad with many regulars, including skipper Asamoah Gyan and his vice Andre Ayew, who are both fit.
The first leg comes off September 1st at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, with the second leg coming off in Brazzaville four days later. Egypt host then travel to Uganda in the same time period.
