Black Stars striker Raphael Dwamena is set to join English Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion after a £12m fee was agreed for his transfer.
The lanky Dwamena has also agreed personal terms with Brighton and only awaits international clearance to fly to England for his medical.
Brighton announced the impeding deal on Monday, tweeting that they’ve agreed a fee with Dwamena’s former side FC Zurich.
Dwamena only joined Zurich in January and had a phenomenal run, scoring 12 goals in 20 games.
Chris Hughton’s Brighton has found life difficult in the Premier League since the season started with back to back losses without scoring a goal, and they’ve identified Dwamena as the key man to breathe life into their attack.
Only 21, Dwamena’s career is on the fast track, having scored a couple of goals on his Black Stars competitive debut in June’s Afcon qualifier against Ethiopia.
