‘Man of God’ Pastor Mensa Otabil has just about had it with criticism of his noble self and lashed out against his critics in his sermon on Sunday.
The ICGC founder told his congregation that it’s people who themselves ‘look like insults’ who gather up the nerve to insult him.
Otabil’s stock has fallen sharply in the eyes of the general public in recent weeks, starting with the outrageous money for miracle offers at Greater Works and then the recent news of the collapse of Capital Bank.
It seems like Otabil – who’s made a career out of criticizing everything in sight including politicians and even ‘foolish’ born again Christians – cannot stand insults on his person and has now lashed out.
“You know when people who have no right to insult you, insult you; that is reality.” Otabil told the congregation.
“You look at the person insulting you and the person, sometimes, himself looks like an insult. But out of the abundance of his insult, he is insulting you, so that is reality.
“And you say wow, thank you, Lord, for mercy. For giving him grace to insult you because if God had not given them permission they would not insult you”.
The preacher added that these ‘insult looking’ people are only happy when someone else is down because they have nothing to be happy about in their own lives.
“They are happy that somebody is down, because they have been down for so long that when you are down they feel like they have climbed.
“Sometimes, people you have helped will kick you when you are down, people you have encouraged will kick you when you are down”. he added.
