Nigerian billionaire-Aliko Dangote who is African’s richest man is an Arsenal fan and for many years he has expressed interest that he would like to buy the club–though current owner Stan Kroenke has no plans to sell it.
Dangote has spoken about what he would do if he is able to buy the club–saying, the first thing he would do if that happens is to SACK Arsene Wenger.
He told Bloomburg: ‘The first thing I would change is the coach. He has done a good job, but someone else should also try his luck.’
He added: ‘If they get the right offer, I’m sure they would walk away. Someone will give them an offer that will make them seriously consider walking away.
‘And when we finish the refinery, I think we will be in a position to do that.’
Dangote said he will make a move for the club following the construction of a £8.5billion oil refinery in Lagos.
