The allegations have now turned to a civil action as Kiki Banson has sued Afia Schwarzenegger for defamation and is seeking Ghc 1m in damages.
Banson recently reported Afia to the police for fraud, which led to her arrest and subsequently bail.
The issue surrounds this year’s edition of Girl Talk which is organised by Palm Media and which Afia was contracted to perform at.
A sponsorship deal was secured from End Point Clinic for Ghc 10,000 – which Afia later fraudulently retrieved from Kiki – but not before causing a scene at his offices with her loud mouth and also on social media.
The writ, filed at the Accra High Court and which GhanaCelebrities.Com have exclusively obtained, calls for the court to rule that Afia has defamed Kiki and Palm Media, for her to retract her defamatory statements and not make anymore in the future, and for damages of Ghc 1m to be awarded to the plaintiffs.
GC has also learnt exclusively that reports that Afia Schwarzenegger has sued multimedia for defamation are incorrect, as it was simply a letter from her lawyers to the organisation and not a court writ.
