It’s an old truism that love and logic don’t go necessarily hand in hand – but that can lead one to ignore warning signs and get themselves really hurt.
Therefore, singer Adina, who has made ‘love songs’ an art in itself, is advising people to fall in love but also make sure to attach their brains to their feelings.
Speaking to Showbiz in an interview, the ‘Too Late’ singer said it’s important to really use your brains in any relationship, especially if you’re in love.
“It is great to find love. Go all out but use you brains as well. Do not use your heart alone. Try to think through things so that you do not end up getting hurt emotionally.” she told the paper.
“Sometimes even with friends, you give your all, thinking you have a ‘bestie’ only for you to find out they do not value the friendship like you do. It hurts but it is not worth dying for,” she added.
The singer, born Adina Thembi Ndamse, added that even if you get yourself hurt in love, it’s better to move on and not hold on to that hurt.
“If you find yourself in that situation, just move on. No one is worth dying for. You have a whole life ahead of you and that is important. The funny thing is that the people you want to kill yourself for may not do the same if the tables turn”, she said.
