‘Dancehall king’ Shatta Wale believes his fans view him as their role model and thus that motivates them to turn up in their numbers when he holds his shows.
Shatta Wale just concluded a tour of the United States and he admits he was impressed with the turn out at most of his shows.
The brash, always controversial artist said he believes he has such sold out shows because his fans see him as their role model.
“When people see you as a role model, that’s when they attend your shows. I was impressed [with the attendance],” he said.
Shatta also opened up about the events surrounding his being presented with a key to the US city of Worcester.
“When I went to Worcester, the mayor came to see me and that led to me being given the Key to the City which was only given to high profile people. He came to me and said, he’s been listening to my music; he said he loves the Ghanaian community in Worcester so much.” he said.
