Usain Bolt Finishes In Disappointing Third Place In Final 100m World Championships Race

US Sprinter Justin Gatlin played the spoiler on Usain Bolt’s retirement night as he stormed home in first place in the 100m finals at the IAAF World Championships.
Bolt was supposed to bring his stellar Hall of Fame career to a spectacular end by doing what he does best – but Gatlin had other ideas.
The American won in 9.92 seconds, finishing ahead of compatriot Chris Coleman in second and Bolt in third.
The win provided Gatlin a measure of revenge over Bolt, who beat him famously at 2015’s World Championships despite Gatlin having the better season.
In his final 100m race before hanging up the boots, Bolt was finally upstaged by the man he has beaten so many times.
