International Court Of Arbitration Throws Out Woyome's Judgement Debt Appeal

Woyome’s hope to have the International Court of Arbitration overturn the Ghc 51.2m judgement debt against him has been dashed after the court threw out his case.
In a letter dated, Thursday August 3, addressed to the businessman’s lawyers, the court said it had no desire to proceed with the case, instead charging Woyome $5,000 for ‘administrative costs’
“The international court of arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce decided that this arbitration will not proceed article (6(4)); and fixed the ICC administrative expenses at $5000 which is covered by the non-refundable payment already made by the claimant”. the letter read.
Woyome was ordered by the Supreme Court of Ghana to refund the Ghc 51.2m illegally paid to him by the state in 2009 as a ‘judgement debt’. However, the NDC financier maintained he was properly paid that money and vowed to take his case international.
That didn’t end too well for him though.
