Ed Sheeran is putting Ghana on the map more than any of our artists can even dream of.
The British singer recently dropped his official music video to ‘Bibia Be Ye Ye’, the twi song he released earlier this year.
Sheeran sings in Twi for portions of the song and the video was entirely shot on location in Ghana, with Ghanaian director Gyo Gyimah.
Since being released on Wednesday, the video has already garnered over 4m views on YouTube, giving Ghana crazy exposure to Sheeran’s massive global fanbase.
The official view count is currently 4.2m and rising.
However, Sheeran has songs which regularly rise into tens and hundreds of millions of views. For instance, his ‘Galway Girl’ official video has 176m views, so ‘Bibia Be Ye Ye’ has quite some way to go to catch up.
