Kwesi Appiah And Stars Technical Team Paid Three Month Salary Arrears Amounting To $147,000 – Check Out What Each Of Them Took Home


Black Stars manager James Kwesi Appiah and his technical team where paid their salaries on Wednesday, August 2, for the first time since they took over the national team on the 1st of May.
A decision by government to hold back on the GNPC’s sponsorship of the team led to the technical staff being forced to work for three months without receiving their salaries.
The monies were finally released by government Wednesday, with a cheque of $147,000 doled out to cover the May, June and July salary arrears of Appiah and his entire technical team.
Below is the breakdown of the $147,000 and what each member of the team was paid.
Kwasi Appiah (Coach) – $105,000 ($35,000/month)
Ibrahim Tanko (Assistant Coach) – $15,000 ($5,000/month)
Maxwell Konadu (Assistant Coach) – $15,000 ($5,000/month)
Richard Kingson (Goalkeeper’s Trainer) – $6,000 ($2,000/month)
Stephen Appiah (Technical Coordinator) – $6,000 ($2,000/month)
